Originally constructed near Segovia in 1141, the ancient Monastery was purchased by William Randolph Hearst in 1925, dismantled stone by stone, and shipped to the United States. It was reassembled in 1952 in Miami. The oldest structure in the Western hemisphere is now used as an Episcopal Church.
